2021 Mock Redraft: Full-PPR, 4pts per pass TD, 1 QB/2WR/2RB/Flex, #7 of 12 spot

Using ESPN+CBS+NFL+MFL ADPs for the mock draft A.I.

12 teams, PPR Scoring

QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, WR/RB/TE, 8 BN

In this mock draft, I vow NOT to take any Green Bay Packers. I showed that path on my first two mocks of August, we’re done there for a bit…but then of course the first two players highest-ranked (by the A.I.) are Davante (my love child in 2021 1st-rounds) and Aaron Jones.

So, I’ll skip Davante…even though I would definitely take him right here. I have a choice of Ten Commandments WR Tyreek Hill or RB Nick Chubb (suddenly falling in redrafts again).

If I go Tyreek, I’ll miss Chubb and hope that Gibson/Mixon fall to me.

If I go Chubb first, then I’ll be looking at Justin Jefferson or Keenan Allen at WR. Kelce went right before me. I can take Josh Allen 3rd or maybe 4th-round. I’m going to go Chubb and that excellent O-Line and see what happens with this path.

Round #1

1.1 Christian McCaffrey

1.2 Dalvin Cook

1.3 Derrick Henry

1.4 Alvin Kamara

1.5 Ezekiel Elliott

1.6 Travis Kelce

1.7 Nick Chubb

1.8 Davante Adams

1.9 Saquon Barkley

1.10 Tyreek Hill

1.11 Jonathan Taylor

1.12 Austin Ekeler

I got my choice of Waller…or Jefferson, Metcalf, Keenan, A.J. Brown…plenty of WRs. Waller at TE, but I’m good waiting on Pitts or Logan Thomas. Or I could grab Antonio Gibson, who fell a little here in PPR. Diontae Johnson is an option at WR next round. And then gamble Allen falls to the 4th…and take Justin Herbert if I miss Allen, if I go Gibson here.

If Dak and Burrow are having injury-related issues…then the top QBs just got a little more valuable.

I’ll go Gibson because of the depth at WR to take to come.

Mahomes is sitting available too, but this is not 6pts per pass TD, it’s 4pts, so I am not as pressured to do it…but I could, easily…my favorite guy to work with. But I’ll go with Gibson to see if I get lucky with things falling next round. I got a feeling the next round is going to be filled with options.

Round #2

2.1 Aaron Jones

2.2 Joe Mixon

2.3 Stefon Diggs

2.4 Najee Harris

2.5 DeAndre Hopkins

2.6 Antonio Gibson

2.7 Patrick Mahomes II

2.8 Calvin Ridley

2.9 A.J. Brown

2.10 Clyde Edwards-Helaire

2.11 D.K. Metcalf

2.12 Justin Jefferson

Nope, not filled with options. All the guys I hoped would fall…taken. McLaurin and Keenan Allen taken right before me.

It’s down to Josh Allen or Diontae Johnson.

I’m going to go Josh, and then be in some trouble if WRs don’t fall to me next/4th-round. Because 5th-round, I want to go with Kyle Pitts, if I can.

I could go Herbert later, and pluck Diontae now…but I will go with the elite passer/TD running fool Josh Allen and pray some WRs fall to me.

Round #3

3.1 Darren Waller

3.2 David Montgomery

3.3 Keenan Allen

3.4 George Kittle

3.5 Allen Robinson II

3.6 Terry McLaurin

3.7 Josh Allen

3.8 CeeDee Lamb

3.9 Kyler Murray

3.10 Chris Godwin

3.11 Robert Woods

3.12 Julio Jones

That was easy…Diontae Johnson, thank you very much…

Round #4

4.1 J.K. Dobbins

4.2 Mike Evans

4.3 D'Andre Swift

4.4 Amari Cooper

4.5 Chris Carson

4.6 Diontae Johnson

4.7 Miles Sanders

4.8 D.J. Moore

4.9 Michael Thomas

4.10 Cooper Kupp

4.11 Tyler Lockett

4.12 Adam Thielen

Plenty of WRs to look at – Tee Higgins, Claypool, Deebo. I’ve been beaten out on Kyle Pitts so many times, I feel like I need to take him here a round ahead of what his ADP says. Or I could wait and go Logan Thomas if I fade Pitts and miss. Let’s do that. Let’s go WR…and I’m going Chase Claypool or Courtland Sutton…but probably CC because Sutton should fall to the next round.

Diontae and CC can co-exist great…but if one goes down, the other is going to explode. So, I’ll take it. If you wanted Tee or Courtland here, I don’t blame you. Praying Pitts falls to me next…

Round #5

5.1 Kenny Golladay

5.2 Brandon Aiyuk

5.3 Ja'Marr Chase

5.4 Lamar Jackson

5.5 T.J. Hockenson

5.6 Josh Jacobs (how the mighty have fallen)

5.7 Chase Claypool

5.8 Myles Gaskin

5.9 Kyle Pitts

5.10 Mark Andrews

5.11 JuJu Smith-Schuster

5.12 Dak Prescott

I’m always missing out on Pitts trying to be too slick – let that be a lesson to all of us.

Courtland did fall, and Logan has another round+ to go. BUT the most important part to having Nick Chubb – you GOTTA get Kareem Hunt, so now is that time. Last round might have been the time I should’ve done it.

Team, so far…

QB: J Allen

RB: Chubb, Gibson

WR: Diontae, Claypool

Round #6

6.1 Odell Beckham Jr.

6.2 Justin Herbert

6.3 Darrell Henderson

6.4 Tee Higgins

6.5 Russell Wilson

6.6 Kareem Hunt

6.7 Courtland Sutton

6.8 Travis Etienne

6.9 Mike Davis

6.10 Aaron Rodgers

6.11 Tom Brady

6.12 Chase Edmonds

Deebo time, then maybe Logan Thomas.

Round #7

7.1 Jalen Hurts

7.2 D.J. Chark Jr.

7.3 DeVonta Smith

7.4 Michael Pittman Jr.

7.5 Ryan Tannehill

7.6 Robby Anderson

7.7 Deebo Samuel

7.8 Jerry Jeudy

7.9 Javonte Williams

7.10 Ronald Jones II

7.11 Tyler Boyd

7.12 Antonio Brown

Gotta do Logan Thomas right now…

Round #8

8.1 Laviska Shenault Jr.

8.2 James Robinson

8.3 Leonard Fournette

8.4 Brandin Cooks

8.5 Will Fuller V

8.6 Logan Thomas

8.7 Raheem Mostert

8.8 Michael Carter

8.9 Zack Moss

8.10 Mike Williams

8.11 Curtis Samuel

8.12 Melvin Gordon III

I got Logan, and then all the other players I had ‘earmarked’ for this next pick, hoping they’d fall…they all just went – Michael Carter, David Johnson, Trey Sermon, etc.

My roster is balanced right now, so I’m open to taking anything here. Rather than force a WR that I’m not in love with, I’ll take a TE that I like in hopes that it brings me trade value for the people who died at TE. I’ll take Noah Fant to get over-strong at TE to use as a chip later…or he beats out Logan Thomas.

Round #9

9.1 Trey Sermon

9.2 Jarvis Landry

9.3 Mecole Hardman

9.4 David Johnson

9.5 Damien Harris

9.6 Kenyan Drake

9.7 Noah Fant

9.8 Corey Davis

9.9 Jaylen Waddle

9.10 Matthew Stafford

9.11 Marquise Brown

9.12 Dallas Goedert

Team, so far…

QB: J Allen

RB: Chubb, Gibson, Hunt

WR: Diontae, Claypool, Deebo

TE: L. Thomas, Fant

I’ve got five picks to improvise with right now because I’m taking DST then PK then Taysom Hill as the last three picks.

I’m going to take shots at things hoping to hit a homerun or drop them for other things when Week 1-2-3 waivers hit.

Actually, let’s be prudent first…this is PPR. I’ll take J.D. McKissic for some Gibson insurance.

Round #10

10.1 James Conner

10.2 Michael Gallup

10.3 Nyheim Hines

10.4 AJ Dillon

10.5 DeVante Parker

10.6 J.D. McKissic

10.7 Henry Ruggs III

10.8 Darnell Mooney

10.9 Marvin Jones Jr.

10.10 Russell Gage

10.11 Robert Tonyan

10.12 Cole Beasley

Going to take the Giants best PPR WR, Dan Jones BFF Sterling Shepard.

Round #11

11.1 Tony Pollard

11.2 Gus Edwards

11.3 Elijah Moore

11.4 Kenneth Gainwell

11.5 Jamaal Williams

11.6 Devin Singletary

11.7 Sterling Shepard

11.8 Tyler Higbee

11.9 T.Y. Hilton

11.10 Joe Burrow

11.11 Tre'Quan Smith

11.12 Hunter Henry

Let’s take Jets #1 RB Tevin Coleman next.

Round #12

12.1 Rashod Bateman

12.2 Irv Smith Jr.

12.3 Jalen Reagor

12.4 Latavius Murray

12.5 James White

12.6 Tevin Coleman

12.7 Randall Cobb

12.8 Matt Ryan

12.9 Gabriel Davis

12.10 Evan Engram

12.11 Rashaad Penny

12.12 Trevor Lawrence

Whoops, this is only 15 rounds not 17 like I thought…and no DST and kicker. Must have clicked the wrong buttons. It’s OK, I would get Denver-DST for their nice schedule start Weeks 1-2-3 and then Matt Gay…round 16-17 if there was one.

I got 3 picks left, and Taysom will be my last one because he’s not going to be drafted unless I do it. So, let’s take two educated flyers…

Let’s pretend like it’s 2020 and go with the next T.O./Randy Moss (according to Gruden this week) – Bryan Edwards.

Round #13

13.1 Nelson Agholor

13.2 Alexander Mattison

13.3 Phillip Lindsay

13.4 Deshaun Watson

13.5 Mike Gesicki

13.6 Tarik Cohen

13.7 Bryan Edwards

13.8 Giovani Bernard

13.9 Jonnu Smith

13.10 Salvon Ahmed

13.11 Xavier Jones

13.12 Chuba Hubbard

Team, so far…

QB: J Allen

RB: Chubb, Gibson, Hunt, McKissic, T. Coleman

WR: Diontae, Claypool, Deebo, Bry Edwards

TE: L. Thomas, Fant

I was going to take Xavier Jones as a flyer next, but the stupid A.I. scooped him on me…he’s been going rounds 13-14 a lot lately.

So, I’ll take RB-not-WR Cordarrelle Patterson here and then finish with Taysom.

Team, so far…

QB: J Allen

RB: Chubb, Gibson, Hunt, McKissic, T. Coleman

WR: Diontae, Claypool, Deebo, Bry Edwards

TE: L. Thomas, Fant

Round #14

14.1 Baker Mayfield

14.2 Devontae Booker

14.3 Rob Gronkowski

14.4 A.J. Green

14.5 Darrel Williams

14.6 Cordarrelle Patterson

14.7 Parris Campbell

14.8 John Brown

14.9 Todd Gurley II

14.10 Marlon Mack

14.11 Adam Trautman

14.12 Darrynton Evans

I’m tempted to take Trey Lance here as a gamble QB but why not take the similar model I think WILL start Week 1…Taysom.

Round #15

15.1 Cole Kmet

15.2 Kirk Cousins

15.3 Damien Williams

15.4 Jared Cook

15.5 Sony Michel

15.6 Jeff Wilson Jr.

15.7 Taysom Hill

15.8 Gerald Everett

15.9 Joshua Kelley

15.10 Jamison Crowder

15.11 Zach Ertz

15.12 Amon-Ra St. Brown

Team, so far…

QB: J Allen, Taysom

RB: Chubb, Gibson, Hunt, McKissic, T. Coleman, C. Patterson

WR: Diontae, Claypool, Deebo, Bry Edwards

TE: L. Thomas, Fant

I feel like this draft has ‘D’ written all over it, but we’ll see…
