Draft Day 3 -- Commentary...

After the draft ends, I'm taking a break to stand up and stretch after 7+ hours seated. Going to keep an eye on the UDFA group. I'll be reporting out the key ones I see over the next 24+ hours. I have a lot of 'my guys' flipping into UDFA status, so we'll see how that goes.

Draft grades likely Monday but a preview maybe Sunday if we have enough UDFAs in.

Dynasty Rookie Draft 1.0 work starts tomorrow for me. It looks like it will be a total mess.

=================

My best available UDFA:

WR Allen Lazard

RB Josh Adams

OG Beau Nunn

DT Bruce Hector

QB Chad Kanoff

OL Desmond Harrison

CB Andre Chachere

SAF Godwin Igwebuike

LB Tegray Scales

OLB Joe Ostman

**END DRAFT**

===============

#256 WAS selects WR Trey Quinn, SMU

*And possibly the thing I hate the most in football -- Mr. Irrelevant.

My #147 overall. He's a good Welker-like prospect. I think Courtland Sutton really helped him jack his numbers but Quinn is solid.

===============

#255 BUF selects WR Austin Proehl, UNC

Scrappy, small (5'9"/182) WR. My #413 overall.

===============

#254 ARI selects OT Korey Cunningham, Cincinnati

Solid OT prospect. My #168 overall. Very good late pick.

==============

#253 CIN selects WR Auden Tate, Florida State

Pretty nice tape but terrible measurables outside of his 6'5"/228 body. My #526 overall. Might make it but I'd bet against.

==============

#252 CIN selects OG Rod Taylor, Ole Miss

My #250 overall. Interesting OT/OG tweener.

===============

#251 LAC selects RB Justin Jackson, Northwestern

Sweet Combine numbers but a very limited runner instincts/wasn't grabbed by the tape but he was productive. My #237 overall.

===============

#250 NE selects TE Ryan Izzo, Fla State

My #501 prospect. I have no idea why NE would make this pick. A slow TE.

================

#249 CIN selects QB Logan Woodside, Toledo

My #468 prospect. A 5'11/213 scrappy QB. No, thanks.

================

#248 GB selects DE Kendall Donnerson, So Missouri

Didn't have grades on, but this looks like an ace prospect -- 6'3"/250, 4.45 40-time, 7.06 three-cone, 40" vertical. I'll be jumping on this one tonight.

================

#247 JAC selects Punter Logan Cooke, Miss State

Yep.

================

#246 PIT selects DT Joshua Frazier, Alabama

Wow. My #596 prospect. A buried Alabama prospect. All the interesting guys out there and teams are using picks on this.

================

#245 NO selects OC Will Clapp, LSU

My #457 overall. Long-shot OC prospect.

===============

#244 LAR selects DE Justin Lawler, SMU

Some people like this guy, but I don;t see it at all. My #567 overall.

===============

#243 NE selects DB Keion Crossan, W Carolina

Solid, but small (5'9"/178) CB prospect. Athletic. Long shot but hope. My #163 overall.

===============

#242 CAR selects DT Kendrick Norton, Miami, Fla

My #279 overall. Mediocre DT prospect.

================

#241 WAS selects CB Greg Stroman, Va Tech

Small CB. My #366 overall.

==============

#240 SF selects WR Richie James, Mid Tenn State

Interesting smaller, speedy WR...he can be kinda interesting as a catch and go. My #196 overall.

===============

#239 GB selects LS Hunter Bradley, Miss State

What great use of a draft pick

===============

#238 BAL selects DE Zach Sieler, Ferris State

Big, supposedly 4.83 40-time, 6'6"/288 DE...but I don't trust Ferris State Pro Day measurables. My #603 overall.

===============

#237 DET selects FB Nick Bawden, San Diego State

A great blocking FB. My #570 overall because FBs have no real value in a draft, to me.

==============

#236 DAL selects RB Bo Scarbrough, Alabama

Big, pretty athletic, not great instincts. No threat to Ezekiel Elliott. My #299 overall.

==============

#235 IND selects LB Zaire Franklin, Syracuse

Very athletic OLB who wasn't invited to the Combine, etc. My #98 prospect.

===============

#234 CAR selects lLB Andre Smith, UNC

Smaller, decent ILB (5'11"+/237). My #140 overall.

===============

*Ryan Switzer traded from DAL to OAK for Jihad Ward*

===============

#233 PHI selects OT Jordan Mailata

6'7"/346 Rugby player from Australia...a 5.12 40-time at a regional Pro Day. Looks pretty interesting. I didn't have him on the board.

===============

#232 GB selects DE James Looney, Cal

My #246 overall. Undersized DT and slower DE. Decent player.

===============

#231 LAR selects LB Travin Howard, TCU

Possible move to safety (5'11/211). My #157 prospect.

===============

#230 JAC selects OLB Leon Jacobs, Wisconsin

My #177 prospect. Solid enough player. Billed as a pass rusher but can be developed to the interior maybe.

===============

#229 MIA selects PK Jason Sanders, New Mexico

Kicker. Yep.

===============

#228 OAK selects WR Marcell Ateman, Oklahoma State

He gets drafted and Allen Lazard is still available...you gotta be kidding me. My #334 overall.

===============

#227 MIA selects LB Quentin Poling, Ohio

Another solid/useful LB prospect. My #194 overall.

================

#226 DEN selects RB David Williams, Arkansas

They take this guy and not Josh Adams, which I like that they didn't for FF...I don't get it for the franchise at all. My #545 overall.

================

#225 MIN selects LB Davante Downs, Cal

Solid LB prospect. My #149. He'll be useful but a backup the next few years on the MIN depth chart.

================

#224 CHI selects WR Javon Wims, Georgia

Never saw enough to get excited about. My #310 overall.

==============

#223 SF selects DT Julian Taylor, Temple

My #227 overall...a late-rising, athletic DT prospect. A deep-sleeper prospect here.

================

#222 HOU selects SAF Jermaine Kelly, San Jose St

Didn't see enough to bother grading as a CB. They show him as a 6'0"/196 SAF with a 4.5+ 40-time. He maybe a fringe NFL'er as a safety at best.

================

#221 IND selects LB Matthew Adams, Houston

Didn't grade. Looks like a 4-5 grade ILB prospect. 6'0"/229 with a 4.63 40-time.

================

#220 SEA selects QB Alex McGough, Fla Int'l

Ditto...unbelievable. My #429 overall.

=================

#219 NE selects QB Danny Etling, LSU

Absolutely unbelieveable. My #479 prospect. Low turnovers...lollipop arm. Watch D.J. Chark tape...and you see the Etling problem.

=================

My best available:

WR Allen Lazard

RB Josh Adams

OG Beau Nunn

DT Bruce Hector

QB Chad Kanoff

OL Desmond Harrison

CB Andre Chachere

SAF Godwin Igwebuike

LB Tegray Scales

OLB Joe Ostman

=============

*END of 6th-round/START of 7th-round*

=============

#218 MIN selects DE Ade Aruna, Tulane

My #390 overall. he's not a horrible prospect. There is hope for him to make it in the NFL.

==============

#217 DEN selects LB Keishawn Bierra, Washington

His play/tape is all over the place. No, thanks. My #402 overall.

===============

#216 OAK selects LB Azeem Victor, Washington

My #197 overall. Decent player.

===============

#215 BAL selects OC Bradley Bozeman, Alabama

SOO Close to my lowest value player...just #685 on my board. The backup center for Alabama.

===============

#214 HOU selects OLB Peter Kalambayi, Stanford

My #243 overall. Athletic, but never got real excited by any of his other data.

==============

#213 MIN selects OG Colby Cossett, App. State

My #345 prospect, Nice size at 6'5"/311...not much more exciting to discuss.

==============

#212 BAL selects OT Greg Senat, Wagner

My #561 overall. Not a huge fan but some upside hope.

===============

#211 HOU selects TE Jordan Thomas, Houston

I just have a feeling about this guy. I don't know why but I have a feeling he could be the shock TE from this class. Lost a ton of weight. Was a 290+ TE for college and dropped to 265 pounds this offseason. He's talented.

===============

#210 NE selects WR Braxton Berrios, Miami, Fla

A Lord, here comes the Wes Welker comps. My #176 overall...and that's his role, as a 'Welker'.

===============

#209 MIA selects CB Cornell Armstrong, So Miss

Didn't have a grade on...a very average resume. 5'11/193, but ran a 4.45 at his Pro Day.

===============

#208 DAL selects WR Cedrick Wilson, Dallas

How many WRs will the Cowboys have now? Too many. I like Wilson's game, but not sure how he'll impact the NFL. Might be better for college. My #207 prospect.

=================

My best available:

WR Allen Lazard

RB Josh Adams

OG Beau Nunn

DT Bruce Hector

QB Chad Kanoff

OL Desmond Harrison

CB Andre Chachere

SAF Godwin Igwebuike

LB Tegray Scales

OLB Joe Ostman

===============

#207 GB selects WR Equanimeous St. Brown, Notre Dame

My #83 prospect overall -- you're betting on size...6'4"+/214. Brilliant or a bust here.

==============

#206 PHI selects OT Matt Pryor, TCU

Big 6'6"/328 prospect...but shaky talent. My #607 overall.

==============

#205 LAR selects LB Trevon Young, Louisville

Our #385 overall as a DE prospect. 6'4"/258. Has size to work with and good feet. Bad hip injury in 2016. Might be better as he moves further away from his injury. But hip injuries like his are usually bad news.

==============

#204 NYJ selects RB Trenton Cannon, Virginia State

Unreal...what a terrible pick given all the RB talent still left to take. My #329 overall.

==============

#203 JAC selects QB Tanner Lee, Nebraska

Absolutely ridiculous. The Jags missed out on every 'name' QB with a shred of hope. Tanner Lee blows. My #445 prospect. Blake Bortles cannot be stopped.

=============

#202 TB selects LB Jack Cichy, Wisconsin

My #85 overall at ILB. Would have been a top 100 if he wasn't dealing with an injury.

===============

#201 NO selects RB Boston Scott, La Tech

Well, when is he going to get snaps/touches with the current depth chart? Fantasy sleeper...disengaged for 2018. My #174 overall.

===============

#200 ATL selects LB Foye Oluokun, Yale

Great sleeper picks -- a big-time hitter out of the Ivy League at 6'2"/229. Great pick. My #234 overall.

================

#199 TEN selects QB Luke Falk, Wash State

My top guy left on the board at the moment. Makes so much sense because he just like Marcus Mariota...

#199 like some other 'too slow', 'too weak armed' QB Falk plays exactly like.

==============

#198 KC selects DT Kahlil McKenzie, Tennessee

Son of Reggie McKenzie, OAK GM...a former 4-5 star prospect who did nothing in college and left early. I wouldn't draft him AND why have a fringe player who's dad works intradivision? Keep tabs on the playbook.

===============

#197 WAS selects (*LAR traded away) LB Shaun Dion Hamilton, Alabama

My #403 OLB prospect. Never was a fan.

==============

#196 KC selects CB Tremon Smith, C.Arkansas

Didn't grade. 5'10"/200...4.38 40-time, 7.03 three-cone Pro Day.

==============

#195 LAR selects DT Sebastian Joseph, Rutgers

My #332 overall. Not sure how he fits Wade Phillips as a 299-pound DT.

==============

#194 LAR selects WR Russell Gage, LSU

My #475 prospect. people love him for special teams...I wouldn't burn picks on special teams guys.

==============

#193 DAL selects OLB Chris Covington, Indiana

My #154 OLB...he's a solid player. Might have some ILB hopes. 6'2"/245.

==============

#192 LAR selects OG Jamil Demby, Maine

A big guard -- 6'4"/319. My #622 overall. Perhaps more here if he cuts weight and adds muscle.

==============

*The Rams have four of the next 6 picks...and could really push away from the Saints and Vikings here...or botch it and miss the opportunity.*

=================

My best available:

QB Luke Falk

WR Allen Lazard

RB Josh Adams

OG Beau Nunn

DT Bruce Hector

QB Chad Kanoff

OL Desmond Harrison

CB Andre Chachere

SAF Godwin Igwebuike

LB Tegray Scales

==============

#191 LAC selects WR Dylan Cantrell, Texas Tech

My #59 overall...6'3"/226 and really good hands. He may be a bit soft but he checks a lot of scouting boxes -- size, athletic, etc. No good for the Tyrell Williams lovers potentially.

==============

#190 BAL selects SAF Deshon Elliott, Texas

One of the more overrated players in the draft. My #316. He was like a top 40 back in January for the NFL.

==============

#189 NO selects CB Kamrin Moore, BC

My #412. I see nothing extra special here.

==============

#188 CLE selects CB Simeon Thomas, Louisiana

6'3"+ CB. I didn't get the workout numbers to evaluate him...but what I'm seeing now -- this is a great pick. I need to do the work on him and get him a grade but the base data looks fantastic on size-athleticism.

=============

#187 BUF selects WR Ray-Ray McCloud, Clemson

Why? My #433 overall. Wasted pick.

==============

#186 SEA selects DE Jacob Martin, Temple

Interesting, athletic OLB prospect. My #153 overall.

==============

#185 IND selects WR Deon Cain, Clemson

Marginal, useful speedy WR. My #162 overall. So much more talented WRs still available.

==============

#184 SF selects SAF Marcel Harris, Florida

A big safety...possible SAF/LB. My #450.

===============

#183 DEN selects OG Sam Jones, Arizona State

My #633 prospect. Had a negative grade on him. Not much here for me. Denver's great draft is losing steam.

==============

#182 ARI selects CB Christian Campbell, Penn State

My #192...he's OK, solid. Nice size at 6'0"+/195. Useful.

================

#181 CHI selects DE Kylie Fitts, Utah

One of the better sleeper prospects for this draft...if he can stay healthy. My #64 overall. One of the best pass rushers in this draft.

=================

My best available:

QB Luke Falk

WR Allen Lazard

RB Josh Adams

OG Beau Nunn

DT Bruce Hector

QB Chad Kanoff

OL Desmond Harrison

WR Dylan Cantrell

DE Kylie Fitts

CB Andre Chachere

=============

=============

#180 NYJ selects DT Foley Fatukasi, U Conn

My #135 prospect. Size (329 pounds) with some athleticism.

=============

#179 NYJ selects CB Parry Nickerson, Tulane

I like his game. Wish he had more size (5'10"/182). My #91 prospect overall.

=============

*Pat Shurmur talking about his QB group...and competition culture...he said, "Most likely the starter will be Eli." That will be in the headlines.*

============

#178 NE selects LB Christian Sam, Arizona State

This adds more weight to my claim he's possibly the best ILB prospect in the class. My #34 overall prospect.

============

#177 HOU selects DE Duke Elijofor, Tennessee

My #328 overall. Decent tape. Hard to evaluate due to torn labrum and he didn't get timed at anything.

============

#176 LAR selects RB John Kelly, Tennessee

Have never liked him. #483 overall for me. He's not the worst but I see a million other RBs more interesting.

=============

#175 CLE selects WR Damion Ratley, Texas A&M

And the Browns' draft is going off the rails. Did they need a reach for WR right now? My #381 overall.

============

*END OF ROUND FIVE...START ROUND SIX*

===========

#174 GB selects WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, So Florida

Great measurables. My #127 overall. More measurables than blows you away on tape.

============

#173 OAK selects Punter Johnny Townsend, Oakland

Three punters taken now...did they run out of safeties to waste picks on?

============

#172 GB selects Punter JK Scott, Alabama

He went to Alabama, so I'm sure he's the greatest punter ever.

============

#171 DAL selects QB Mike White, W Ky

My #58 overall prospect -- Will McClay loves QBs that tear up the Senior Bowl.

=============

#170 CIN selects CB Darius Phillips, W Mich

My #356 prospect, but if he were about two inches taller he might be top 150 prospect...which sounds crazy, but reach, etc. matters at CB. He's a pretty good football player with measurements working against him.

==============

#169 IND selects RB Jordan Wilkins, Ole Miss

A very average RB with average measurables. What the Colts are doing...I have no idea. My #451 overall.

==============

#168 SEA selects OT Jemarco Jones, Ohio State

Dreaded #666 overall for me. I have never seen the appeal.

==============

#167 MIN selects PK Daniel Carlson

Kicker. OK. I don't scout kickers pre-Draft much anymore, so I can't help you here.

=================

My best available:

QB Luke Falk

WR Allen Lazard

LB Christian Sam

RB Josh Adams

OG Beau Nunn

DT Bruce Hector

QB Chad Kanoff

OL Desmond Harrison

QB Mike White

WR Dylan Cantrell

=============

==============

#166 BUF selects OG Wyatt Teller, Va Tech

My #47 prospect...a real steal here.

=============

#165 PIT selects RB/TE Jaylen Samuels, Pittsburgh

My #28 prospect. Great pick for PITT.

I absolutely hate this for FF. I hate the dynasty rookie draft right now.

=============

#164 NO selects SAF Natrell Jamerson, Wisc.

Solid safety, but again...safety. My #303 overall. Good return game guy.

=============

#163 WAS selects DT Tim Settle, Va Tech

My #184 prospect. Solid DT prospect. 329 pounds so more of a 3-4 DT/NT type.

============

#162 BAL selects WR Jordan Lasley, UCLA

Good-looking WR on tape at times...but doesn't have the juice for the NFL. Better college player than pro prospect.

============

#161 CAR selects ILB Jermaine Carter, Maryland

My #335 overall. He may need to move to safety at 6'0"+/222

==============

#160 LAR selects LB Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, Oklahoma

My #122 overall. There are times his tape says he's a 1st-rounder, and then he disappeared and then his weak measurables. Shaky prospect with hope.

==============

#159 IND selects WR Daurice Fountain, No Iowa

I liked his game and his measurables came in decent. I am seeing we don't have a grade showing in system for him, which is just an omission error. Is likely a 6-7 grade WR. A top 200 or so prospect.

==============

#158 CIN selects DT Andrew Brown

Nice pick. My #87 overall. Smart pick for the middle round.

==============

#157 MIN selects TE Tyler Conklin, C Mich

A sleeper TE. My #160 ranked prospect. A receiving threat.

=============

#156 DEN selects TE Troy Fumagalli, Wisconsin

A wasted draft pick. My #472. Denver's fantastic draft hits a speed bump.

==============

#155 LAC selects OC Scott Quessenberry, UCLA

One of the better centers I scouted. My #82 player overall.

============

*Rams trade Tavon Austin to Dallas for a 6th-round pick. You want more examples of the NFL getting things wrong with the draft or payroll? Here you go. AND Dallas has to pay him $4M this year. Sweet! What is Dallas doing?*

And no one wanted Cordarrelle Patterson...

============

#154 BUF selects SAF Siran Neal, J-State

My #407 overall. Again. More safeties with all the trend against safeties based on payroll spends. I don;t get it at all.

============

#153 DET selects OT Tyrell Crosby, Oregon

My #208. I wasn't a huge fan of his measurables. Tape is solid. Dropped big on concussion issues.

============

#152 TEN selects DB Dane Cruikshank, Arizona

My #93 overall. CB or SAF possible. A lot of upside.

============

#151 CIN selects CB Devontae Harris, Illinois St

My #238 overall. Better tape than measurables. OK pick. I got a lot of CBs rated better still available.

Andre Chachere will be a steal at CB soon.

=============

#150 CLE selects LB Genard Avery, Memphis

My #50 prospect overall on his athleticism profile. He's a better upside player than this spot, but his tape was 'meh'.

=============

#149 SEA selects PUNTER Michael Dickson, Texas

Award winning punter. I got nothing else on him...

=================

My best available:

QB Luke Falk

TE/RB Jaylen Samuels

WR Allen Lazard

LB Christian Sam

RB Josh Adams

OG Beau Nunn

OG Wyatt Teller

DT Bruce Hector

LB Genard Avery

QB Chad Kanoff

=============

============

#148 PIT selects SAF Marcus Allen, Penn State

My #351. Another great Penn State Combine...but lacking on production.

\

============

#147 LAR selects ILB Micah Kiser, Virginia

A very solid ILB. His production and profile are better than the tape I saw. My #55 available.

============

#146 SEA selects SAF Tre Flowers, Oklahoma

More safeties...(sigh). My #240 prospect. Huge safety -- 6'3"...but 202-pounds is a little thin framed.

===============

#145 CHI selects DT Bilal Nichols, Delaware

MY #150 overall. Some people swear to me he's a top 50 prospect. He shows flashes of it but he didn't grade out that way for us. Upside here. Could be a steal.

===============

#144 TB selects WR Justin Watson, Penn

My #36 overall...great pick...AND he's dead for fantasy. One of the worst places he could land.

=============

#143 NE selects LB Ja'whaun Bentley, Purdue

My #362 overall. He's an ILB prospect that will earn a better grade for folks now that BB has selected him.

=============

#142 SF selects CB D.J. Reed, Kansas St

My #631 overall. A 5'9"/188 CB.

=================

My best available:

QB Luke Falk

TE/RB Jaylen Samuels

WR Allen Lazard

LB Christian Sam

RB Josh Adams

WR Justin Watson

OG Beau Nunn

OG Wyatt Teller

DT Bruce Hector

LB Genard Avery

=============

#141 SEA selects LB Shaquem Griffin, Seattle

Nice story going to SEA where his brother is. I had him as a #30...because his size and speed are fantastic. He's a weapon. He gets dinged for 'not having a position' but that overlooks his high-end athleticism. He could be a terrific safety potentially. You don't see 227-pound guys running in the 4.3s.

=============

#140 OAK selects DT Maurice Hurst, Michigan

My #96 overall. I think he's solid but a lot has been made of him. I didn't see a wow player on tape or at the pre-draft workouts. Solid player, but not super-special.

=============

#139 NYG selects DT R.J. McIntosh, Mia, Fla

My #311 overall. Just 286 pounds, and slow. I think a pure bust could happen here.

=============

#138 GB selects OG Cole Madison, Wash State

My #574 overall...I had a negative grade on him. Just not very exciting.

============

*START ROUND FIVE*

*END of ROUND FOUR*

============

#137 DAL selects TE Dalton Schultz, Stanford

My #509 overall. Better college TE than pro, I think. There's an upside hope but it will take some time making over his body/strength.

============

#136 CAR selects LB Marquis Haynes, Ole Miss

My #113 overall. Solid but not special.

============

#135 LAR selects DE John Franklin-Myers, SF Austin

My #600 overall. He has upside but nothing super special...4.75 40-time, 7.36 three-cone. Has the profile of a backup in the NFL.

============

#134 ARI selects RB Chase Edmunds, Fordham

Nice...safe for David Johnson for FF. Edmunds is good. A nice secondary, backup guy. No threat to DJ. My #167 overall. My top 'speed/smaller' RB prospect. Maybe a handcuff to DJ? Maybe. T.J. Logan still exists.

============

#133 GB selects WR J'Mon Moore, Missouri

My #71 overall. Has AJ Green moments...has some issues when things get muddy. He's worth the gamble. Nice landing spot for FF.

============

#132 BAL selects WR Jaleel Scott, New Mexico State

Sometimes looks great...and then too much 'meh'. Worried he's a better college WR than pro. My #128 overall. Bad spot for him for FF.

============

#131 MIA selects RB Kalen Ballage, Arizona State

Perfect for Miami -- straight ahead runner only. Is a great receiver. Just runs straight with no awareness. My #115 overall. Used right, he's a weapon for the NFL. This isn't a bad spot for him for FF.

=============

#130 PHI selects DE Josh Sweat, FSU

My #45 overall...very athletic -- 4.53 40-time, 6'4"+, 6.95 three-cone (Pro Day). Great pick. Philly is having a top 5 draft possibly.

=================

My best available:

QB Luke Falk

=============

#129 JAX selects OT Will Richardson, NC State

My #552...red flags off the field. Upside if he can get 'right'.

==============

#128 SF selects DE Kentavius Street, NC State

The whole NC State line has been drafted...why weren't the Wolfpack better? Had a negative grade here...my #642 overall. Torn ACL...the 49ers and these redshirt guys NEVER works out.

===============

#127 NO selects OT Rick Leonard, Florida State

My #598...a raw OT prospect but shaky. Developmental. Too early for this pick.

===============

#126 ATL selects RB Ito Smith, So Miss

My #484 overall. Small...slow/non-agile -- hard worker, tough. Can catch passes. He'll be a 3rd-down guy. Tevin Coleman is a great pass catcher, and they don't use him properly...so 'good luck' Ito.

================

#125 PHI selects CB Avonte Maddox, Pitt

My #81 overall. I'm a secret fan even though he's just 5'9". He's athletic and talented...just two inches shorter then you wanted.

==============

#124 KC selects SAF Armani Watts, Texas A&M

My #289 overall...why teams are wasting 4th-round picks on average safety prospects is totally beyond me. Wasted opportunity, poor economic management of the draft.

=============

#123 MIA selects TE Durham Smythe, Notre Dame

I have a negative grade...my #564 overall. No thanks. Miami is setting a new bar for bad drafts...

=================

My best available:

Luke Falk

Jaylen Samuels

Shaq Griffin

=============

#122 BAL selects LB Kenny Young, UCLA

Hey, a good pick by BAL...,my #56 overall player. Solid linebacker, not a star.

=============

#121 BUF selects CB Taron Johnson, Weber State

My #252 overall. Has skills but a bit raw and was FCS good not sure how great for the NFL. He's useful.

=============

#120 SEA selects TE Will Dissly, Washington

Agree with Mike Mayock -- a monster blocker...but I'll add he has very underrated hands. Quality NFL player. Nothing special for FF.

==============

#119 LAC selects SAF Kyzir White, West Va

My #216 overall. Has all the size but poor athleticism (for a safety) at the NFL Combine. Useful on his size. They are saying he'll play LB...a much better fit.

=============

#118 BAL selects CB Anthony Averett, Alabama

My #188 overall. I'm torn...looks good at times but then you don't really see much 'there...there' overall. Has moments but never grabs you.

=================

#117 TB selects SAF Jordan Whitehead, Penn State

Small SAF. Love his run stop ability but he may be too much a liability in the pass game. My #230 overall. He goes ahead of Igwebuike and Cruishank.

=================

#116 DAL selects DE Dorance Armstrong, Kansas

My #100 overall...I have seen flashes of something on tape but he tested weak at the Combine. Classic Will McClay pick potentially.

=================

#115 CHI selects LB Joel Iyiegbuniwe, W Ky

My #106 overall...undersized LB...an OLB, but with Shaq Griffin out there I'm a little surprised. Teams must ultimately be afriad of Shaq Griffin.

=================

#114 DET selects DE De'Shawn Hand, Alabama

*Acquired in trade from NE...the Pats are killing it accumulating future picks.

I had a negative grade on Hand as a 3-4 DE...4.83 40-time with a terrible 7.98 three-cone.

==================

#113 DEN selects WR DaeSean Hamilton, Penn State

OK, Denver is now having the best draft in 2018. If Denver had a top end QB...and a new head coach -- they are set up for AFC West dominance. Sutton-Hamilton is as good a 1-2 punch as there is...Demaryius Thomas or Emm Sanders are available in trade soon.

==================

#112 CIN selects RB Mark Walton, Miami, Fla

My #350 overall. Scrappy but not that talented. HUGE, great for Joe Mixon...there is no heat on Mixon for FF. All in on Mixon!!!

==================

#111 LAR selects OC Brian Allen, Michigan State

Had a negative grade on him. My #562 overall prospect. He's everything...too small, too short of arms, etc.

===================

#110 OAK selects CB Nick Nelson

Solid CB. Injury in offseason sent him outside the top 100. Solid enough pick. My #120 overall.

====================

#109 WAS selects SAF Troy Apke, Penn State

This could be the classic...great Combine, but empty on the field/on tape at PSU. He was a UDFA until he blew up the Combine. He may be the Jeff Janis of safeties. #165 overall prospect for me.

====================

#108 NYG selects QB Kyle Lauletta, Richmond

Well, there's Davis Webb up in smoke at NYG. Webb is better than Lauletta -- but Lauletta is 'their guy' for the NYG management. He's a good QB, but I don't get this with Webb sitting there. But it makes some sense if you think this is 'it' for Eli...gives them two QBs for 2019 if Eli flames out. This may be more about Eli than Webb.

====================

#107 NYJ selects TE Christopher Herndon, Miami, Fla

Solid-not-special TE...6'3"+. Dead for fantasy given he'll work with Sam Darnold 2019+.

====================

#106 DEN selects LB Josey Jewell, Iowa

Denver continues to kill it. My #40 available. A quality ILB, maybe the best ILB in the draft...in a weak ILB class. Denver is about to pass Cleveland for the best draft of 2018...if they haven't already.

====================

#105 CLE selects WR Antonio Callaway, Florida

A-B talent, D-F off field. Nothing but issues. If he can turn it around...a great pick. Let's put Callaway and Josh Gordon on the same team... Failed a drug test at the Combine.

====================

#104 IND selects RB Nyheim Hines, NC State

Definitely fast but shaky agility. There are other more interesting speedsters out there but Hines gets into a decent place with empty Indy. He'll have 'sleeper' for fantasy labels applied by many.

====================

#103 HOU selects WR Keke Coutee, Texas Tech

My #145 best available, but at least 10 other WRs ahead of him. He's OK, but I doubt Houston makes anything special out of him...as they've struggled to push Braxton MIller and up and down with Bruce Ellington. There's some hope here.

=====================

#102 MIN selects DE Jalyn Holmes, Ohio State

Had a UDFA grade on him. Looks good/'looks the part'. Underwhelming performer. Mike Zimmer is probably more right/will get more usage out of him then I projected.

======================

#101 CAR selects TE Ian Thomas, Indiana

I like him better than The Computer's graded...a 5.7 grade, #229 overall. Real slow on the agility, and only 6'3".

======================

My 'Best Available'/Most valuable to start Day 3...

1) QB Luke Falk, Washington State -- a franchise QB waiting to happen, but may never get a real chance. Day 3 QBs rarely do.

2) TE/RB Jaylen Samuels, NC State -- this is such a perfect pick for the Rams, I want to grab McVay/Snead by the collar if they don't make this pick.

3) OLB Shaq Griffin, C. Florida -- He can be a weapon if used properly

4) WR Allen Lazard, Iowa State -- Poor man's Mike Evans

5) ILB Christian Sam, Arizona State -- Our top ILB prospect grade, in a weak class at ILB

6) RB Josh Adams, Notre Dame -- I would argue he's the best pure RB talent in the draft...Saquon the most gifted athlete but not best at his craft

7) WR Justin Watson, Penn -- Some of the WRs getting drafted ahead him are ridiculous. He'll be a later day steal for the Patriots

8) ILB Josey Jewell, Iowa -- Very well could be the best ILB in the draft

9) OG Beau Nunn, Appl. State -- The Computer LOVES him. He may go undrafted. May be a better 'on paper' guy than reality

10) WR DaeSean Hamilton, Penn State -- I'm starting to think Allen Lazard and Hamilton may be two of the five best WRs in this draft...steals for a team coming up.

==================

12:04pmET: I didn't know Mike Mayock had Allen Lazard as his #80 prospect. I'm a big fan of Lazard...my #32. If Dallas makes the move for Lazard...and has a Lazard-Gallup 1-2 punch for 2019+...it's smart.

==================

11:52amET: Just to put some sexiness into the O-Line situation Day 3... There are three prospects out there who I think could be top 2-3 at their position but are still available for various reasons...

OG Beau Nunn, Appalachian State is my Computer model freak out prospect...and he may not get drafted. Special speed-agility times.

OG Wyatt Teller, Va Tech could be tackle or guard...but his history is at guard. 6'4"/314...5.24 40-time, 7.45 three-cone, 30 bench reps, 1st-team all-ACC guard.

OT Desmond Harrison, West Georgia...top talent BUT troubled...6'6"/292, 4.90 40-time, 7.64 three-cone. Could be the best talent BUT with red flags.

====================

11:40amET: I will be so pleased when the Redskins get exactly what they asked for when they drafted Derrius Guice...an overrated runner and a disaster of a teammate. I've said it for 5+ years...Doug Williams is the absolute worst. How the guy keeps getting work with Washington -- I don't know but 'well-paid lackey for the awful owner' is probably a pretty good explanation.

In dynasty, I'll buy your Samaje Perine stock...correction, I'll pick it up when you toss it on the ground. Perine has no value to anyone...in deeper roster dynasty leagues -- I'll take him. A bet that logic rules the day -- Perine is a better RB than Guice in every aspect. Bigger, stronger, more instinctual, better hands in the passing game, 10x the better human. Guice has more open field straight ahead speed.

You think Perine and Matt Jones got put in doghouses...wait until they get a load of the walking disaster Derrius Guice.

====================

11:33amET: The problem...the economic problem with the TE position for fantasy...

Ertz was a top 5, Goedert was a potential top 5 fantasy TE...and now they've both been taken out.

Kelce with a new QB and new OC.

Gronk on his last year or two.

O.J. Howard and Cam Brate doing an Ertz/Goedert thing of neutralizing each other.

Hayden Hurst on the Ravens...with Mark Andrews.

Jordan Reed pretty much 'done'.

We're down to...hopefully Jimmy Graham revitalizes with Aaron Rodgers...Hunter Henry becomes a bigger target for LAC...and Gronk stays healthy for a season.

And, oh...this makes Evan Engram one of the five most valuable fantasy assets now and down the road...the one true, clean hope at tight end now and for the future.

Where Jaylen Samuels lands is going to be major, potentially.
