2022 Dynasty Rookie Five-Round Mock Draft Series Two (pick slot #2)

It’s been 2+ months since our first 12-part DRD mock draft series. It’s time for the follow up now that we’re into training camps starting…for those who rookie draft in August.

We’ll publish a mock draft daily, starting from the #12 spot (as reflects most FFMers from a nice 2021) and we’ll take it in order down to #1 slot mock.

Parameters: Half-PPR, 4pts per pass TD, one flex spot/non-Superflex. AND…I cannot make any trades back (like I want in the first round).

1.1 Breece Hall

1.2 Jameson Williams = I like Jameson Williams as a #2 pick above all…if you prefer Drake London or Treylon Burks, go for it! And if you have Rashaad Penny and you want to back that up with Ken Walker…it makes sense.

But I will be more than happy to trade this pick to get a 2nd-rounder to take Allgeier-Woods and get some asset in exchange to do so.

1.3 Drake London

1.4 Treylon Burks

1.5 Ken Walker III

1.6 Garrett Wilson

1.7 Skyy Moore

1.8 Chris Olave

1.9 Christian Watson

1.10 George Pickens

1.11 Jahan Dotson

1.12 Kenny Pickett

---------------------------

2.1 James Cook

2.2 Tyler Allgeier = It’s getting to the point where I might start taking him 1.11-1.12 if it comes down to it. It won’t be long before Allgeier cracks the top 20 in the DRD…probably after his first preseason appearance.

2.3 Rachaad White

2.4 John Metchie III

2.5 David Bell

2.6 Dameon Pierce

2.7 Alec Pierce

2.8 Isaiah Spiller

2.9 Trey McBride

2.10 Jalen Tolbert

2.11 Zamir White

2.12 Desmond Ridder

---------------------------

3.1 Malik Willis

3.2 Jelani Woods = This continues to be a safe under pick #30 overall pick, for now.

3.3 Wan'Dale Robinson

3.4 Tyrion Davis-Price

3.5 Brian Robinson Jr.

3.6 Matt Corral

3.7 Tyquan Thornton

3.8 Justyn Ross

3.9 Khalil Shakir

3.10 Greg Dulcich

3.11 Romeo Doubs

3.12 Keaontay Ingram

---------------------------

4.1 Hassan Haskins

4.2 Kyle Philips = I took Philips, but…

We have entered the Isaih Pacheco being discovered phase that was bound to happen. You’re going to need to consider him or Philips in the 4th from here on in.

Albert Breer, a respected NFL reporter tweeted major praise for Pacheco and noting how much KC is impressed…Chiefs coaches calling him ‘like Kareem Hunt’. Pacheco is hidden no longer.

I would get prepared by getting 2-3 picks between #25-35 to land Woods-Philips-Pacheco. You might be OK under pick #40 overall, to get Pacheco, but in another few weeks, if that’s when you’re drafting, he may fly into the 4th-round and into the 3rd-round…ESPECIALLY in RB-crazed leagues.

4.3 Velus Jones Jr.

4.4 Pierre Strong Jr.

4.5 Jerome Ford

4.6 Sam Howell

4.7 Jeremy Ruckert

4.8 Calvin Austin III

4.9 Kyren Williams

4.10 Daniel Bellinger

4.11 Tyler Badie

4.12 Kevin Harris

---------------------------

5.1 Danny Gray

5.2 Isiah Pacheco = This mock series is the last you’ll see of Pacheco in the 5th, for real…or in mocks. In another week his ADPs will be updated, and people are going to start taking him earlier and earlier as the one guy who stands out in the deep recesses of the normally care-less 4th and 5th-rounds of a DRD (for ‘them’).

5.3 Cade Otton

5.4 Ty Chandler

5.5 Kennedy Brooks

5.6 Snoop Conner

5.7 Charlie Kolar

5.8 Carson Strong

5.9 Bailey Zappe

5.10 Bo Melton

5.11 Trestan Ebner

5.12 Abram Smith
