Below is an updated ranking/list of all 22 QB prospects we've fully scouted and reported on to date, with more to come. A few notes on our list/rank...
-- Some/many analysts would agree with our top-ranked QB prospect so far though the process, but after that it's total scouting heresy. No one has Vernon Adams or Taysom Hill anywhere near the top 5-10. Adams was outside most top 20's but his strong East-West Shrine game has him climbing. Vernon Adams has a ton of 'next Russell Wilson' metrics in him.
-- Anyone who wants to pull Taysom Hill down their rankings due to his injuries, I cannot blame you...all we know is that he is a super-talent as a runner-passer, and a much, much better passer than anyone is giving him credit for.
-- We're re-looking at Jacob Coker; going through more of his throws in detail. His Alabama numbers are decent/sanitary, and his mechanics are excellent, but hiding in there might be a very timid quarterback...and it's hard to tell if the system sheltered him, or if he does it to himself. The question then becomes--can someone draw more aggression out of him. I see signs of a solid NFL QB on some tape, and then I want to rage at other parts of his tape--the playing it too safe quarterback.
-- As of today, I still do not get the high enthusiasm for Carson Wentz. After a Senior Bowl week spike, I am sensing the jets are getting cooled on him a bit. As they should. He's a prospect, and a project--not an instant franchise guy be any means.
