2017 ILB Prospect Grades (FINAL)

Date:
April 24, 2017

2017 NFL Draft Inside Linebacker Grades/Rankings

Here are our first sets of grades on the ILB group that we have done studies on, so far. Their grades can and will change with new information in and we will update and add prospects to this list right up to draft day.

*You'll see some of these prospects graded/ranked as OLBs or DEs/Safeties...and might grade better (or worse) there.

A few quick notes on the ILB group…

-- Haason Reddick may end up a really nice NFL ILB, better than we've graded but it's hard to take his college numbers and pre-draft workouts and project his ILB or tackle ability at the position when he played as a very successful edge rush player in college. He didn;t play inside linebacker until the Senior Bowl. Physically, he's the best prospect among the ILBs.

-- From #2 (Eric Wilson) to like #10 (R. McMillan) there are several really solid linebacker prospects and you could probably re-order the top 10 anywhere in there and not be wrong. A lot of interesting 'off the grid' linebacker prospects this year.

-- Better than all of them might be Alex Anzalone...he's terrific, but always hurt.

-- We didn't like Reuben Foster before the recent drug test failure came to light, so that only convinces us more on the problem child he is. He isn't as talented as analysts are portraying either.

-- Ben Gedeon is a sleeper alert to rise from our mediocre grade group and outperform everyone on the list.
