2017 WR-b Prospect Grades (FINAL)

Date:
April 24, 2017

2017 NFL Draft Wide Receiver (B) Grades/Rankings (2.0)

Updated grades on the WR-b group. Their grades can and will change with new information in and we will update and add prospects to this list right up to draft day and beyond.

A few notes on our 2.0 rankings...

-- A bit of a leap of faith on Corey Davis as the #1 'big' WR prospect for 2017. I like what I see but could only use our best estimates for his speed-agility, etc. data since he could not workout properly pre-draft. He could come back to bite us a little bit...

-- This is a very weak class on physically imposing WR prospects.

Chris Godwin is like Quincy Enunwa-ish.

Robert Davis has all the measurables, but plays soft.

Evan Engram scares me to death as a 'soft' receiver, but he is a 'big WR', for sure, at 230+ pounds.

I like Josh Reynolds a lot but he's rail thin.

I like DeAngelo Yancey's game too, but he'll go undrafted and has a long NFL climb ahead of him.

Ishmael Zamora is intriguing but I can't take 'the human' Zamora in my locker room. He's a worse Dorial Green-Beckham.

We don't see much in Mike Williams or JuJu Smith-Schuster on tape or in measurables. They're solid, and will have an decent NFL career, but not spectacular...for the price they are bad plays in this draft.
