2018 SAF Prospect Grades

Date:
April 20, 2018

Godwin Igwebuike, Northwestern looks like he will be our top graded safety prospect for 2018. He's usually not among the top 10 safety prospects in the mainstream but we have him at the top -- a hitter with great feet to work well in coverage. He's build to be a great strong safety.

Dane Cruikshank is one of our top guys, in part because of the coverage ability he offers...he may very well be an NFL corner instead of a safety.

I thought Derwin James would be the top safety early on in this process but once his Pro Day numbers hit and we got to watch more of him on tape...we saw 'good' not 'great'.

Tararius Moore and Trey Walker, are all solid graded safeties that have some data showing that it's possible they are top 1-2-3 in this safety class. Moore might wind up a move to corner as well.
