2018 RB-s Prospect Grades

Date:
April 5, 2018

We begin the 2018 grading period with Ronald Jones, USC atop the smaller RB rankings. It's a best estimate grade right now as Jones has not participated in any 40-time/agility times, etc., but he might do them at a special Pro Day ahead. He pulled up lame halfway through his Combine 40-yard dash and hasn't been able to go since. From what I've seen so far, he's clearly the best smaller, speedy back in this draft but Fordham's Chase Edmonds has a case to be made.

La Tech's Boston Scott graded well for us in our initial run but are scrambling to do more work on him.

We're not feeling the same love for Kerryon Johnson or Mark Walton as the football masses are. Walton I think might be better than this. Johnson just doesn't have the juice on paper or on tape, for me.

One guy that may take a step up by the end of the process is Ito Smith. There are some nice data points but a couple items holding him back. He didn't do all the drills at his Pro Day so more work needs to be done.
