2018 NFL Trade Deadline Rumors/Reactions -- Streaming All Day Thread (3:58pmET)

October 30, 2018

Open stream all day for trade rumors and reactions...see latest update time in the article title on our home page or refreshing this page if you have it open. Refresh/reload the page for the latest. Any time add to this, the time will be changed in the title to reflect it. I won't be sending an app alert every time I post on it or there might be 10+ alerts this day.

The NFL has been afraid to trade for its existence but has been opening up a little more each year lately. We'll see if there's much to talk about today with deals...impact for the team and for fantasy.

Instant reactions, typing fast and posting so forgive any typos this day.

-- Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix to the Redskins...this further pushes my Redskins-DST narrative ahead. Strange dealing for GB dumping players. Montgomery I get...Clinton-Dix was excess?

-- Dante Fowler to the Rams...it helps. Could be very nice this year, but he's also a major headache guy -- but he might clean up for half a season. Lower risk move for the Rams.

-- Ty Montgomery to BAL...not a big deal. Montgomery was pretty aced out of playing time as it was. ESPN rushed right to "AARON JONES", because of course they did.

Ty was already not really playing. Nothing much has changed with GB.

This is probably the end of any Buck Allen thoughts anyone had.

As much as I think Montgomery is a terrible RB...he's potentially behind only 'the fumbler' (Collins) and could surprise. I don't think we'll ever wake up in a world where Montgomery is a consistent fantasy RB2.

-- Supposedly the Chiefs and Rams (this year's Super Bowl) are hot an heavy after Janoris Jenkins...the winner to get him is potentially the real winner in February...

I'm betting the Rams pull it off but they also have intel on him from his days as a Ram, so they may bow out if they 'know' something.

-- Le'Veon Bell appears to be a Steeler for 2018...let the drama begin.

-- Dante Fowler will dumped somewhere to a fringe playoff team -- my bet is Seattle or Atlanta, maybe Miami. If Chicago makes this move then there is a lot to fear on Khalil Mack's foot.

-- So, I go to the dentist for what was supposed to be 30 minutes 90+ minutes later...Here comes the trades, while I'm away.

First reactions...

GOLDEN TATE to the Eagles

-- Downgrade on Tate big time, and Nelson Agholor becomes what I've claimed for years...irrelevant. It will take time for Tate to integrate and I don't like him off the turf/dome.

-- Matthew Stafford slight downgrade, loses his most trusted weapon. Helps the Bears when they play DET twice in a three week span the next few weeks.

-- Great for Marvin Jones. Kenny Golladay slight bump.

-- Brandon Powell is a name to keep in mind as the Tate replacement. He's a pretty good UDFA WR from this preseason.

-- I guess to helps with the Will Fuller loss, but they play two different styles...so not sure how great this is for Houston, Watson, and Thomas is 'meh' here

-- This is why we held Courtland Sutton. Now we can dream of WR2 this year and WR1 next year.

-- DaeSean Hamilton rises, but probably WR3.5 in PPR. Someday a WR2 in PPR.

-- Keke Coutee is somewhat negatively affected

-- A source telling me watch for Janoris Jenkins to the Rams, AND that Demaryius Thomas to New England is very likely to happen...the dismay with Josh Gordon is growing...and the Golden Tate talk is to help lower the DT get price.

-- Ha-Ha Clinton Dix rumored to be available, but I don't think anything will happen there at all.

10:00amET: Opener

Players I believe have a strong chance to be traded today...

OAK: CB Rashaan Melvin (possibly one of the best gets of the day), SAF Karl Joseph, OLB Bruce Irvin

DEN: Either Demaryius Thomas or Emmanuel Sanders, and I think Devontae Booker could be dealt. LB Brandon Marshall possibly so Josey Jewell can take over

ARI: Deone Bucannon (someone smart gets him and makes him a safety again...like Dallas)

BUF: LeSean McCoy, Kelvin Benjamin

TB: DeSean Jackson

CLE: Duke Johnson, if anyone will take him

NYJ: Mo Claiborne (if they were smart)

Players I don't think get traded despite the rumors:

Patrick Peterson

Le'Veon Bell

Golden Tate (why take a middle round pick when they'd get that in free agent compensation?)

Teams Dealing Incoming:

Rams = Want a CB because Marcus Peters sucks...Claiborne from the Jets maybe

Redskins = Jon sends Jay Rashaan Melvin, you watch how he helps his brother out to win the NFC East today

Texans = acquire a WR, maybe DeSean Jackson but wants Emmanuel Sanders

Patriots = Looking for a WR to replace Josh Gordon (Dem Thomas) and a linebacker (Jamie Collins)

Giants = I wonder if they give up a player in their dumping to get Kyle Sloter for Pat Shurmur?

Denver = I wonder if Denver makes a play to bring back Sloter for something they're willing to dump to the Vikes

Bears = Looking for WR depth

Eagles = Add a veteran RB to end the Josh Adams bullet train for now
