2018 Sunday Week 11 -- Open Thread/Notes (12:24pmET)

November 18, 2018

2018 Sunday Week 11 -- Open Thread/Notes

So many things happening in a whirlwind Sunday morning…news and notes and rumors coming from all angles, plus the Video Q&A show 11-1pmET – it’s hard to communicate everything pre-kickoff.

With that in mind, I’m going to open up this post and add to it as I get info or a thought or whatever – notes before kickoff, trends happening on the Video Q&A, breaking betting lines, etc. Whatever I want to note and I’ll clearly mark it with the times so you can see what and when. God Bless us one and all…

12:22pmET: Video Q&A Notes of interest...

-- Coutee as a pick up to sit on for weeks ahead, plus could use today. The Texans love Coutee.

-- Christian Kirk in a good spot to have a big play/better fantasy game vs. Raiders.

-- Jack Doyle still has hope...in a hopeless TE week of BYE issues.

-- Two WRs who could 'go off' this week: Golladay and Sutton

10:55am ET:

-- Keke Coutee expected to be good-to-go today.

-- Lamar Jackson officially named starter, as we all suspected. Odds moved to -6.5/Ravens. Strange Vegas line play all week...hopefully you got some Ravens as underdog action.

-- Arizona holding steady at -5.0...the media is painting this as two terrible teams playing. That's not true...it's one team that's not been as terrible/has made changes and is improving since the changes (ARI) versus a team getting worse by the minute (OAK). Best bet of the week/year.

-- I love the optics of the Bears -2.5 hosting MIN. I'm not betting it because I respect MIN, but the football analysis of this game has been sickening. The Bears should probably be -4 or -5, but everyone is so convinced Mitch Trubisky is terrible and the Bears are a fraud and Minnesota is a Super Bowl team -- I wouldn't be surprised if the line fell to 1.5 or 2.0, which is essentially the Vikings favored (home field pushing the line to CHI).

The Bears have a better defense and offense...I'm not sure what the twisted analysis is for Minnesota on the road. Actually, I know exactly what's going on.

-- Weather Check: All looks good or tame everywhere but MIN-CHI, which is OK but COLD -- 31 degrees.

-- Josh Ross expected to play. A.J. Green is doubtful but is expected to workout before the game to see if he can go. Likely AJG out another week and that helps Ross see a few more snaps/targets here. However, Ross getting re-injured in-game is always a fear with his injury-prone body.

-- Joey Bosa should be active and probably plays 75% of his normal workload.

-- The Lions promoted WR Andy Jones and trying out Terrelle Pryor...meaning Marvin Jones is in trouble of missing the rest of the season, or at least several weeks. Kenny Golladay is a big winner and Brandon Powell may come into play faster than expected, but as like a WR3.5. Theo Riddick stays a strong PPR RB3

-- Bears TE Adam Shaheen has been activated, Dion Sims to IR. Shaheen likely becomes a poor man's Dallas Goedert/2018...randomly pops up with a TD here and there. Shaheen's returns doesn't tarnish f, but it doesn't help.

-- One of our top-rated 2018 NFL Draft DB prospects, SAF Godwin Igwebuike, was promoted to the active roster by the Bucs...several injuries may force him into playing time, and he's pretty talented -- for those in deep IDP/roster leagues.
