2018 Sunday Week 12 -- Open Thread/Notes
So many things happening in a whirlwind Sunday morning…news and notes and rumors coming from all angles, plus the Video Q&A show 11-1pmET – it’s hard to communicate everything pre-kickoff.
With that in mind, I’m going to open up this post and add to it as I get info or a thought or whatever – notes before kickoff, trends happening on the Video Q&A, breaking betting lines, etc. Whatever I want to note and I’ll clearly mark it with the times so you can see what and when. God Bless us one and all…

12:27pmET: Show notes...
-- Curtis Samuel the main option for the needy at WR3/Flex...like him over legit options: Sutton-Ross-Stills-Richard
-- Melvin Gordon fear...fear inactive...and fear he has a token start and doesn't play much in an expected win.
-- Joe Flacco back to practice next week. I'm pretty sure this is the last week of LJax...or one more week at-best
-- Aqib Talib back next week makes the Rams a possible 'never-sit' defense. Tough news for Kenny Golladay and Allen Robinson.
-- Dynasty Stash first Video Q&A of the season planned for Friday 12/7 and every week thereafter to the end of the season. Some Friday and Saturday's. More details ahead.
10:09amET: Vegas things...
-- NE has gone from -10 to -11.5 over NYJ today
-- Indy has gone from -7.5 to -8.5 over MIA
-- The Chargers jumped to -14.0 over ARI...from -12/-12.5 earlier in the week
-- HOU dropped to -4.0 from -6.0 on the Mariota news
-- The Handicapping group only has one team showing in 3 people's Blazing Five choices...The Eagles, but one of us has NYG as a B5. I'm staying away from NYG-PHI...the Eagles defense is brutalized beyond recognition.
9:53amET: More notes...
-- The R. Foster release by SF...Fred Warner becomes a strong LB1 candidate week-to-week with Foster out, FYI.
-- Two Arizona items:
1) My guy, Princeton UDFA QB Chad Kanoff just got activated. What? Why. Odd. He's not ready. Arizona needs a 3rd QB active? I wonder what's up. Hopefully, it's because he's playing so well.
2) According to a source I communicated with: Steve Wilks is potentially one-and-done. Fired after one season...that's who bad things have gotten. How happy would I be? Very.
-- Kyle Lauletta will be starting at some point this season...probably Weeks 16-17, or if NYG loses this week...maybe Week 14 it begins (they wouldn't put him out there Week 13 v. CHI).
This is a bomb to everything we know for FF. Changes OBJ-Engram-Saquon touch counts in someway (good or bad). And it's a boost for WAS-TEN-IND DSTs Weeks 14-16.

9:33amET: Weather check...
-- All good. No wind issues. No real 'cold' issues. Jags at Bills will be 35-40 degrees...feels like low 30s, cloudy. Low chance of rain. Might hurt these two excellent passing games.
-- No cold or rain anywhere else
9:00amET: Opening notes...
-- A.J. Green is likely out. I thought he was 'more 'in' than 'out'. Once he is cleared he should be fine, but it's not this week. Which means John Ross (not necessarily Tyler Boyd, per my sources) draws Denzel Ward and that takes some of the Ross sleeper sting away this week -- but he's still reasonable to house a bomb or bubble screen.
-- Reuben Foster released by SF...that guy, what a menace -- and when do we start saying the 49ers' GM John Lynch is an outright bust? Traded out of the #2 spot because they didn't think Trubisky was worth it and instead drafted two (so far) busts: Solomon Thomas and Reuben Foster in the first round. Later they traded draft capital to move up to get the illustrious Joe Williams.
All the experts LOVED their draft...but, in reality, it was so bad it set the franchise back 2-3-4-5 years with wasted opportunities.
Overpaid for Jerick McKinnon as well.
-- Speaking of Mitch Trubisky, as I feared...might not be ready to go next week either. Why rush him back vs. the Giants? When they have huge games with LAR and GB after that? If the Vikings lose this week to GB...it gives CHI more room to take it easy.
-- Doug Baldwin, I am led to believe is not likely to play despite rumors otherwise. It's a true 50-50.
-- The Giants elevated a kicker off the practice squad...Aldrick Rosas is hurt, and now suspected to be worse than thought. FYI if Rosas is randomly you kicker -- prep other plans.
