12:23pmET: Inactive notes...
-- No David Fales for MIA...Tannehill all game it looks like
-- Keith Ford inactive, so a lot of LeSean vs. a bad MIA run D
-- Rod Smith starting, but two top OLs out for Dallas as well.
-- Two TEs inactive for NYG...should be a lot of Evan Engram all the way
-- I think James Conner is fine/active/starts but get ready for a backup plan just in case...ditto for Antonio Brown.
-- Golladay inactive...not sure anyone is an option off that -- maybe, Brandon Powell
-- McCaffrey going for 75 yards to get to 2,000? I guess. Looks like it...take Cameron Artis-Payne down.
-- Davante Adams out makes me wonder if Aaron Rodgers won't be gone after 2-3 series. Jake Kumerow could be the big winner regardless.
11:17amET: More notes...
-- Waiting for news on the Saints inactives to get even more excited about Dwayne Washington. I am of the belief that Kamara will be active and may start (trying to get a TD quick to break some stupid team record). From then on it will be Washington, who is potentially great. If you need points/upside this week -- it's Dwayne Washington playing 3+ quarters as a 'the guy'.
...but IF Kamara-Ingram is inactive -- I will go crazy for Dw Washington
10:50amET: Weather check...
-- DET at GB 20-25 degrees with 10+ mph winds is about the only 'not great' weather game.
Most game-time temps in the north/east/midwest have moved into the 40+ range with no rain.
NYJ at NE, MIA at BUF...low 30s are the outliers from getting out of the 30s into the 40s for a forecast.
10:33amET: More notes...
-- Keke Coutee expected out...DeAndre Carter is a Week 17 sleeper.
-- Rod Smith likely to start, Ezekiel we project in inactive.
-- Jaylen Samuels as a TE (in Yahoo)? Probably better than back-end TE1s...on the hope he's thrust back to RB off a Conner injury, etc. But I think Samuels is not as exciting this week at all.
-- Keenan Allen needs 7 catches for an incentive bonus for 2018...Eric Ebron 8 catches for a bonus.
-- Saquon Barkley 114 yards needed for 2,000 this season...I bet he goes for it.
9:53amET: Week 17 call-ups of mild interest...
-- Jalen Collins, former 2nd-round CB for ATL, cut for 'issues'...he has been on the Colts practice squad and has been called up with some secondary issues for Indy.
-- SF promoted two interesting guys: DE Ryan Delaire (tore up the preseason) and WR Max McCaffrey (brother of CMC)
-- Detroit promoted rookie CB that I like -- Andre Chachere. Rookie CB Chachere and Mike Ford...two nice grabs by DET this season.
9:25amET: Opening Notes...
-- Marcus Mariota is rumored to be 'out' for tonight's game. That kills off any TEN WR/TE, boosts Indy-DST to the moon, hurts Derrick Henry's upside...and it means all I need is for the Jags to pull an upset to get to my miracle Indy to win the AFC South bet win.
-- The Jags upset efforts over HOU improved a slice by the news Carlos Hyde is expected to play. Hyde-Yeldon with occasionally-good-for-a-game Bortles...if the Jags defense comes to play...I really do feel like there is Jacksonville hope here. Week 17 teams in need are very uptight/bad in games while their opponents play loose/unorthodox and tend to pull upsets when it makes no sense.
-- Another miracle bet I have took another step towards not being so crazy...if Antonio Brown is out, that stings the Steelers a bit. Pittsburgh going with the lesser talent RB in James Conner (over Samuels) helps bring the Steelers down a notch closer to the Bengals...a self-inflicted wound. If the Texans and Steelers lose today then this is the best Christmas ever for me.
AB out boosts James Washington and Eli Rogers. I prefer JW, but Eli makes more sense...and for hoping for a Cincy win, I hope the Steelers continue to push weak talents and push Eli over Washington. Vance McDonald is very interesting with AB out...the one who may see the best boost in targets.
If Conner is active, I assume it's all Conner for carries. Like I said yesterday...don't believe anyone saying Samuels will be 'the pass game back'. I already saw Roto-notes zombie into that statement today. It makes no sense when Samuels wasn't used as a passing game back when Conner wasn't there.
