Daily Commentary 11/29 WED (9:45pmET)

Date:
November 29, 2017

9:40pmET: The Cardinals signed RB Darrius Victor to their practice squad...watch that one if AP goes down.

Someone emailed me and said Jeremy McNichols has been promoted to the main roster...he was great in college and a total failure this preseason. Interested to see which one we get now. There has to be some hope here? Maybe he added weight back on because he went rail thin in the preseason.

7:58pmET: Week 13 Projections Updated

6:58pmET: Doug Martin more likely out than in this week with a concussion -- but don't forget to see my earlier notes.

Rishard Matthews out of practice again. He's 50-50 to play this week.

A.J. Derby signs with Miami...a great landing spot. This might be a good thing come 2018. not good for Julius Thomas.

The Saints CBs are limited practicing -- bad news for Devin Funchess and Cam Newton. My early bet is Crawley plays and Lattimore doesn't.

Amari Cooper appears to be more out than in this week -- forcing Cordarrelle Patterson to start, and that's going to be a good thing for fantasy...for one week.

Devonta Freeman back this week...Tevin Coleman slashed on projections tonight.

Ameer Abdullah has a neck issue but we don't think he's 'out' this week, although I will lose my Dwayne Washington and Zach Zenner mind if he is.

Sterling Shepard is back at practice and feeling fine...Geno Smith is enough to set off another migraine.

Jordan Reed out this week, so I'm done with him in redraft, I think. I can't hold on any longer if I'm in a do-or-die week...and I need his spot to tinker with a Mike Davis, Jacquizz Rodgers, Bilal Powell, etc.

Matt Forte did not practice but I don't think tat's telling on whether he plays or not. He gets veteran treatment like this often.

Top 3 FF PPG at each position (PPR)...

1:30pmET: Afternoon notes...

-- Jameis Winston supposedly back...Cameron Brate is a pickup now. OJH hopes are dashed.

-- Sterling Shepard back at practice...with Geno Smith.

-- Damien Williams labeled day-to-day, no way.

Morning Notes...

-- The Buccaneers just sent their top two OLs to IR, which makes me think three things: (1) I like GB as a bet at 'pick'em' ASAP before the line adjusts to -1.5-2.0 for GB like I think will happen. (2) Jacquizz Rodgers getting a surprise start may be meaningless. (3) Why would they rush Winston back with a troubled shoulder and with bad protection unless they want him to get knocked around a bit.

-- The Colts are trying out several centers...the Colts missing their starting Center and ace CB -- the Jags are going to murder them this week.

-- RB Bronson Hill activated by ARI means Kerwynn Williams is done, and D.J. Foster is in line for some PPR work...and T.J. Logan is nowhere to be found.
