Email Help for the Title Game (Rules of Engagement…)
It’s title week, and as always…I’m here for you…via email. It’s easier/better that I can help by seeing more detail and asking questions back and forth as needed.
If you want to go through your situation, please do the following (along with your specific question):
1) Title the email subject line with: 2020 TITLE WEEK: (yes, all caps) ______ (then fill in the blank with something that can help me know your email at a glance among a sea of them – this year, put your favorite movie in or a sleeper movie recommendation…I’m looking for recommendations for this offseason).
2020 TITLE WEEK: Cats
2020 TITLE WEEK: Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
Let’s have some fun with it and help me plan some offseason viewing...and I can better identify your email in replies, etc., with this identifier.
You go to the front of the line for a response if you have the proper email subject line...then I know you read this and followed the directions!!!
2) Make sure I have the pertinent scoring information…
4 or 6 or ? pts per pass TD?
PPR or half or non or TE bonus etc.?
Any TD distance bonuses? Any 100+/300+ performance bonuses?
Does a DST option (if you have a DST question) have yardage allowed as a scoring point?
Dynasty or Redraft?
Whatever I need to know to help, let me know.
3) I need to see your full roster/bench, and current/proposed starting lineup…typing it out helps keep the email from blowing up in size vs. snapshot pics of these things off the phone etc.
And if you want…Ditto all the info for your opponent so I can see whatever there might need to be seen. To look to block or see things to avoid because of their QB or whatever.
*Also…you can just put their last names only, I’ll know who it is…except all the ‘Williams’ and ‘Robinson’ and ‘Smith’ and ‘Higgins’ and ‘Jones’ – gimme the first letter or full name on the common last names. Tee v. Rashard for Higgins always trips me up as just ‘Higgins’.
So, to recap…
1: Special Title
2: Scoring info
3: Rosters/starters typed
Send the emails to email@example.com
I’ll get to them as fast as I can all day THU, FRI, and SAT (and then SAT night and SUN as we get all the FRI/SAT results) from my office, from the car travelling, from the Christmas party – just make it as easy/smooth as possible for me to comprehend. Good Luck and Merry Christmas!
