12:10pmET: Week 13 Projections Updated
Less-discussed injury news...
-- Brian Poole and Demond Trufant both out...two huge CBs out for ATL.
-- Trey Flowers out for NE doesn't hurt a bunch but doesn't help the Pats DST today.
-- Bears missing several safeties today including Adrian Amos
-- Brandon Scarlett out for HOU...Dylan Cole might has an IDP day today.
11:33amET: Abdullah and D Washington out today
11:28amET: You might want to check out our MIN-ATL handicapping chat for a different take on Case Keenum...
10:47amET: Mike Davis as a fantasy start? He's off all injury reports, so appears to be fine. Started the very first game active, a huge game v. ATL...and took the backfield by storm, but tweaked his groin. Another huge matchup, critical game for SEA...so they gotta go with their best. Philly is tough against the run, on paper, but they've squashed bad running teams. WAS Week 1, NYG, ARI pre-AP, LAC, DEN, CHI...only the bears game is an outlier because the Bears have a quality run game.
Other PHI games v. the run: Dallas ran for 112 yards. 49ers went for 94. Carolina racked 80 yards. Hunt/KC 112 yards.
*Last two games...Demarco Murray 20 carries for 19 yards...
10:39amET: Current top 10 for the NFL Draft...
10:33amET: Deeper alternatives if you have Antonio Brown, and you get a 'surprise' tomorrow...
-- Jesse James for a TD...no Vance McDonald this week, he's out.
-- Brandon LaFell...3.9 rec., 42.4 yds, 0.28 TDs per game the last 7 games
-- Tyler Kroft if Ryan Shazier is out
9:31amET: Based on some discussions I've had this morning -- If the Chiefs lose this week, after the play calling change this week -- the move for Patrick Mahomes could come. He would get a start at home vs. OAK before the big Chargers game Week 15. I didn't realize how close the change may be.
9:00amET: Interesting development in KC -- Andy Reid is turning over play-calling to the OC...and that usually confuses the hell out of opponents (they have the Andy Reid book committed to memory). Two things: (1) I'd consider KC and laying the points based on this confusion. (2) New OCs tend to want to do things different...and usually obvious stuff, and usually to score a lot to show their wares -- things like use Tyreek Hill more.
Early Morning Notes...
-- Ameer Abdullah REPORTEDLY out and Theo Riddick SUPPOSEDLY to start. I believe the Ameer talk. I assume the Riddick part but it's only an assumption. The Lions could say Riddick or Zenner to start. Zenner had that late season run last year and was terrific (but who wants to see success from their RBs? Certainly not the Lions)..
-- The Patriots did sign CFM long-time-ago sleeper DT Marcus Hardison to their practice squad.
-- The Rams released CFM sleeper DL Ejuan Price
-- Rumor this weekend that I love, that I don't think will happen -- Josh McDaniel to the Bears as new HC in 2018
-- Adrian Peterson more out than in per reports...I like D.J. Foster as does everybody but it's a 4pm+ game you have to wait and see, and in the preseason Bruce Arians LOVED Elijah Penny...I mean, insane...insane because Penny is the absolute worst (but Penny is AP like...big, and 2.0 ypc slams into the middle). A cluster situation with Foster as the PPR hope. I guess?
