The Le'Veon Bell Signing (Commentary)...

Date:
September 7, 2021

Le'Veon Bell is shot/done as an NFL RB. if he had ANYTHING left, he would've been signed by now. He was dead last year, and if he has sprung to new life this year...someone would've signed him by now.

The Ravens had a worse case scenario happen -- Justice Hill, their #3 back (with JKD already gone), tore his Achilles a a few days ago and they were stuck needing an emergency RB until they figure out a better plan for a #3 back. If the Ravens really wanted Le'Veon Bell...they would have signed him before this, but they valued Justice Hill higher. Let that sink in.

Now, FF people are going nuts at how great a play Le'Veon is to have/get today (with his BAL signing) -- I think Le'Veon to BAL is a total joke, a total zero impact signing. A desperate need for an emergency back with limited time to maneuver, so the Ravens got a placeholder.

BUT...I love the fact that this casts doubt on Ty'Son Williams...and Gus Edwards' ADPs/values. Use this Le'Veon nonsense to go get Gus Edwards cheap for your backfield...and/or Ty'Son as the handcuff.
