Coming Up on FFM 2018 Thanksgiving Week (a lot of stuff)…

Thanksgiving Week!

Look at you! What…you got THU-FRI off, huh? Nice! A little four-day weekend action! Maybe you’ve also got WED off too…a ‘fiver’ (days off)? What? Some of you have the whole week off! Isn’t this holiday great!?

Yeah, real great…I have three more games added to the pile midweek/THU throwing my whole football schedule out of whack! I gotta get to all the Week 11 games I can before Thursday.

We have our family celebration meal moved to Wednesday…and there’s just something wrong about that, right? Turkey is lame the other 364 days of the year not-Thanksgiving Thursday, am I right? I mean, when do you ever look at your friend or lover, in like April or July, and go…”Let’s go out to eat tonight. You know what I’m in the mood for…Turkey and 27 side dishes. Let’s go to that great Turkey joint downtown.”

Turkey is only meant to be eaten one day a year. It only tastes awesome that one day a year. If you invited me to a traditional Thanksgiving-like turkey feast at your house in February, I’d think you were in a cult.

And speaking of that…why does a lot of companies celebrate the peons by ordering a bunch of turkey and fixings and having a pot luck luncheon ahead of work shutting down a few days? Didn’t I already say Turkey is only good one day a year? Why are you ruining my Thanksgiving by shoving a turkey day feast at me days before I’m about to embark on a turkey feast at home in a day or two? I’m not a camel storing up all my turkey consumption this week to last me the rest of the next 51 weeks.

The good thing about this terribly busy holiday week is: I do have the excuse of not able to travel to wherever because ‘Thursday is a big work day for me!’. Sorry in-laws!

All that being said, you might wonder about the schedule of events for this upcoming week on FFM –as fantasy never sleeps, and this is a HUGE week coming. But I won’t be sleeping…literally. Mr. No-days-off, at your service. We have a few modifications and additions to the holiday week activity.

Here’s what the holiday week is planned to be for FFM:

-- We’re keeping to our normal schedule of Video Q&A’s…AND adding (at least) one special for the holidays.

TUE 11/20 at 1030pmET-Midnight

SUN 11/25 at 11amET-1pm

Adding…THU 11/22 10-11:30amET (most likely that time or close to it) – adding this because three games kicking off that day and a critical time in fantasy before you go celebrate with too much food.

*I might add a WED 11/21 midday event as well for the heavy fantasy trade deadlines happening. I’ll know that on Tuesday and announce it ahead. Figuring like Noon ET.

-- Game Recaps/analysis will post all week with an irregular pattern, and they’ll be a little shorter early in the week trying to blast through all the Week 11 games to get clues for projections on the Week 12 games, with Thursday featuring 6 teams in action. We’ll get to them all, but they’ll be erratic early in the week trying to get studied all before Thursday’s big slate.

-- Weekly Projections pattern will be as normal (Tu-Wed-Th, no FRI, Sat, Sun), but Thursday’s projection update will be around noon/before the Thanksgiving games kickoff.

-- Dynasty Stash Video Q&A events will be starting/scheduled when we get past Week 12/the BYE weeks and into the fantasy playoffs.

It will be a few sessions through to the end of the year to discuss your ‘future’ plans before roster stashing is shutdown for the season. We will discuss things like:

*This player or that player to stash based on your roster

*Keepers…this or that based on whatever (the round pick it costs you, etc.)

*Trades for/away if you’re out of the playoffs (rare, but happens)…trades for/away if you’re ‘going for it’…and all the analysis based on today AND tomorrow/dynasty in mind.

*Going to talk about some of the 2019 NFL Draft prospects I’ve been doing pre-homework on…fresh names to the 2017-18-19 rookie draft rankings list.

Info and schedule on the Video Q&A events will be announced late next week.
