Coming Up on FFM and CFM (2019 Super Bowl Week+)…

Coming Up on FFM and CFM…

I’m wiped out from Senior Bowl week, per usual. Actually, the last few weeks between East-West prep and game, and then the whole Senior Bowl week-long deluge of ‘things’…it’s a scouting information overload.

I’m taking Sunday off from any football. I’m going to focus my priorities where they should be -- on the WWE Royal Rumble (and, yes, betting on it...for fun). Monday is a travel day back home…and then we get back to some normal work flow -- just a little thing called ‘The Super Bowl’ to deal with this upcoming week.

When the Senior Bowl and Super Bowl end, I get to focus on some new projects before the NFL Combine in early March. Here are some of the items I’ll be researching, attacking the next week/weeks/months…

-- I have a series I’ve been working on all January – my season-ending awards for Offensive and Defensive Player or the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Coach of the Year. Looking at nominees from each team with commentary and whittling down, tournament style, to a final winner according to me. That series will run this week ahead of the NFL’s announcements. I’m pretty sure my ‘winners’ won’t be the NFL’s, except on one case. This series runs Tue.-Fri next week before the awards are announced.

-- Anal probes of the new NFL Head Coaches. A favorite feature of FFM each year, where I research all the new head coaches and their staffs and try to project what impact they’ll have for wins-losses and for fantasy ahead. You know who we’re starting with, right? Kliff Kingsbury. When? Soon…and I’ll randomly release them as I complete them over the next two months.

-- 2019 Free Agency. It’s almost time… Later in February we’ll be looking at the free agent class position-by-position, discussing rumors and possible landing spots, and the fantasy impacts and sleepers, etc.

-- The Super Bowl…

My annual game recap/analysis extravaganza will hit the Monday after the Super Bowl.

The Pick ‘em challenge we’ve been doing all playoffs, we’ve got one final chat/picks to reveal on the game including prop bets, etc.

-- Your emails. I owe some of you return emails back from December 2018. The Fantasy playoffs, followed by holidays, followed by CFM kickoff, followed by Senior Bowl week – I’m way behind. Don’t be surprised if you see an email from me the next week or two addressing your sit/start question from Week 17. I try to answer all email rapidly but some I set aside to come back to…and it’s a delay before I get back.

-- Dynasty Offseason/Best Ball reporting…the content, initial dynasty projections/valuations, etc. are planned for around third week of February. Possibly earlier. It’s a new project shaping up, so I don’t want to over-promise a start date yet.

I’m going through all the rosters/numbers a team at a time and looking at schedule set ups, etc., through all January and into February (and then updating daily).

I’ll be updating what-when-where on this new offseason program/blitzkrieg of data, reports, rankings throughout February until we hit opening day. I think hope/you’re going to enjoy/prosper from it.

-- I’m submitting a recap of the Senior Bowl game for FantasyPros for Monday publish. However, I’ll write all the stuff that I can’t say/write in public for CFM subscribers on Tuesday. Including never betting on this stupid game again…I’ve lost my touch with betting the Senior Bowl, apparently.

Guaranteed…I’ll bet on the game next year.

-- I’m going to re-grade the 2019 Senior Bowl prospects after getting a full week of stuff to chew on…my preview grades versus end of event grades going into the NFL Combine.

-- More QB scouting reports until we hit the NFL Combine to then start the non-QB position scouting reports and grades.

Some of the of the bizarre QB prospects will be studied, as I’m looking for a Kyle Sloter hiding among us. I got two QB prospects I’m looking at from schools I didn’t realize had football programs. You’ll see in the next week or two.
