Coming Up on FFM, CFM, and DOBB for January 2022…

Coming Up on FFM, CFM, and DOBB for January 2022…

I’ve been making out a schedule for January, post regular season…and I was hoping/looking forward to a bit of break from the manic regular season schedule, but my January work schedule is suddenly (over)filled with football studies and report writing and everything football – there is no offseason anymore. Thank God! Football gives and it gives.

So, what is all coming up on our various platforms this month/post-regular season? Well, I’ll tell you below…

But first, congratulations to all those who had a meaningful/title FF-game in Week 18, be it a one-week showdown or the 2nd-part of a two-week event…the win-rates of games Week 18 was terrific…more ‘thank you, Rashaad Penny’ games headlining the day’s events.

And ‘thank you’ to the NFL…the greatest weekly episodic television event in our lives – better than Breaking Bad (and probably better than Better Call Saul) or The Office or Seinfeld or Curb or whatever else you try to conjure up. Talk about saving the best for last – how about that LAC v. LV 2021 regular season ending watch? I don’t know how the NFL does it, but they do. Just when you think they’ve done enough…they pull a LAC v. LV game out of their hat. What a way to end the regular season.

So much more football still to come with the postseason, the Senior Bowl, the Combine, free agency, the NFL Draft, trades, training camps. The ‘postseason’ and ‘offseason’ starts now. So many of you have FF titles to defend in 2022…your title defense 8-month study programs on FFM, CFM and DOBB, the first day of class begins today with the first reports hitting CFM this afternoonET.

A guide to what we have planned ahead for January…

Coming up on FFM…

-- We’ll be covering every playoff game like we do the regular season games…free to view all postseason. Every playoff game covered from an NFL and FF/Dynasty angle right up to my Super Bowl extravaganza report.

-- We’ll also be going through our typical game analysis/scouting report-out on the final Week 18 regular season games from the 2021 season, key ones for the playoffs planned for this week while others will trickle out throughout the month of January. I love to go through the Week 18 games, slower/methodically, because we more get to see a lot of young players getting the most playing time/touches of their 2021 season.

-- We’ll have some FF Playoff edition player guidance, situational thoughts towards the end of the week leading into the weekend’s playoff games.

-- Our annual new head coach hire reports/analysis. Every new hire head coach analyzed for FF and NFL purposes – reported out starting in January and running through as long as it takes to get them all (into march-April if needed).

-- Our annual NFL Awards (MVP, ROY, COY, DPOY) tournament-style (field of 32) series will begin late January into early February before the NFL announces their awards…and our voting/award series typically has way different outcomes and thoughts than what the NFL votes for.

-- *In February, post-Super Bowl…we’ll begin to breakdown all the position previews for and post signing period analysis of NFL Free Agency 2022.

-- …and anything and everything else that comes our way.

You never know what way the NFL news and rumor winds will blow. But I assure you that I won’t waste your time with nonsense, perpetual offseason QB trade matchmaking articles like you’ll see in the mainstream…it’s all they got because the masses love QB talk. They do know there are like 21 other positions on the field to talk about too?

If you’re into talking about where Russell Wilson et al. should go and why with 17 different teams as landing spot potentials and rationales, you’ll get plenty of that from ESPN and NFL.com.

Coming up on CFM…

-- The full scouting reports begin, as we do every January, with the QB reports. The first of the season will drop 1/10/22, with Kenny Pickett…as we look to move through the Senior Bowl QBs first and then make our way to all the other QB prospects of interest from all corners of the football globe.

We’ll begin looking at non-QBs of interest later into January into February, and then really pump out the non-QB scouting reports once we get the NFL Combine results to run our prospect analytics with…and we’ll have scouting reports galore pre-NFL Draft, post-NFL Draft/all summer – on ‘name’ prospects and all the sleepers and super sleepers down in the weeds, as we do every season.

-- Our annual re-do Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft series begins 1/10/22. A mock draft/ranking top 25 using 2020 and 2021 rookies as the eligible pool. Each pick comes with commentary, we start with the top five (today) and then add a pick/player/commentary every day throughout January.

-- Extensive Senior Bowl coverage and scouting…

1) Ranking/early grading the prospects pre-Senior Bowl week, by position group…and then re-grading post Senior Bowl week.

2) A Dynasty Mock Draft of the Senior Bowl prospects pre-Senior Bowl week…and then post-Senior Bowl week.

3) Senior Bowl week: Week-long coverage of things I’m observing and rumors I’m getting at the Senior Bowl weigh-ins and practices.

4) Senior Bowl game report/analysis

-- Our nationally top-rated mock drafts and top 100 draft boards from Xavier Cromartie will post all pre-Draft season.

Think we’re joking about the top-rated label? Check this out: https://www.thehuddlereport.com/top100.scores.shtml

(and see where McShay, Kiper, Zierlein, Brugler, etc., are at compared to CFM…)

-- 2022 East-West Shrine coverage by Ross Jacobs – offensive prospect preview grades, rankings, commentary, reports, etc.

-- In the months to come, we’ll have extensive coverage of the 2022 NFL Combine, 600+ prospects statistically graded and ranked by value ahead of the draft, a top 300 Dynasty Rookie Draft right after the draft with the rankings/valuation weekly updated right up to 2022 season kickoff, and much much more.

Coming up on DOBB…

-- In January, we will start addressing special topics for Dynasty/offseason things with long-form reports…

1) Debates on players to trade for, trade away, etc., and in-depth reasons why.

2) Dynasty team building strategy discussions in general, player or non-player based theories/mindsets.

3) REWIND scouting studies of specific player’s entire 2021 season, looking for clues…issues, etc.

4) Any hot rumors or tips I’m getting on players from behind the scenes on the team, from my special contacts/sources…and we always seem to unearth at least one major offseason item to radically help Dynasty/Fantasy GMs.

-- A planned weekly series ‘Four Things’…every Tuesday all offseason, three football commentaries on items in the news and +1 bonus off-topic football item. This will begin in February and run through July (and then in August we got a million things to report daily with the preseason in full gear).

-- The top 600 offensive Dynasty Rankings/Valuations and top 500 IDPs will post the week right after the Super Bowl…and will update constantly all offseason into the preseason, right up to kickoff.

So much to do to prepare for Fantasy Football season 2022, so little time.

Here we go…
