Katz: I have so many thoughts on the Cowboys. I don't know where to begin. The public has turned on the Cowboys as they are home dogs on Thanksgiving to the Chargers that were once 0-4. Tyron Smith and Dan Bailey might play. Even if they do, I've lost all confidence in this team. I think I've picked Dallas every week this year. I don't know if I can do it again.
Rabbitt: Oh man. Dak better hope that Smith plays otherwise this pass rush is going to just wreck the game.
RC: Smith truly back fixes a lot of the offense, in theory. I can live without Sean Lee if you’re coming at me with Melvin Gordon. Smith is my deciding factor on this game.
Katz: I agree with RC here. Obviously the Cowboys need Dak, but Tyron Smith is the real MVP. The LVP is Jason Garrett. Teams get hurt. It happens. Garrett has been completely incapable of figuring out what to do without his guys. Garrett is the quintessential "JAG" coach. He's not bad. He's just not good. He's just there. He does nothing to help the team and nothing to actively hurt the team (although one could argue not actively helping the team is hurting the team).
Savage: Dallas/Garrett refusing to give Chaz Green any help in that Atlanta game was one of the worst and most confusing coaching decisions I've ever seen. It was so far beyond stupid that it makes me wonder whether Jason Garrett still cares about keeping his job.
I want to take Dallas in this game, and I probably will, but I've really lost all confidence in this team over the last two weeks. If they were playing anyone other than the Chargers, I'd be picking against Dallas.
This is a good opportunity for me to point out that Jason Garret has been outcoached by Mike McCarthy on multiple occasions.
Skolman: The coaching point scares me...fresh off of what I considered a good pick on MNF until I got Pete Carrolled. I wasn’t in love with the Cowboys when they were supposed to be good, but I’m rolling with them here. (Unless Smith is out which ruins my FF life with Witten as a blocker all game). Then I’ll flip to SD on bitterness alone.
