Katz: This is a tough one. I think AB plays. But obviously if he doesn't, it could affect the line. Does Cinci hang tough at home?
RC: A desperate team (CIN) with the home field Monday night…scary for the Steelers. Plus, Pittsburgh isn’t great on the road. Too many points…especially if A. Brown is out/sketchy. I wouldn’t bet it…but I’d take Cincy + points. The difference could be Joe Mixon has arrived.
Savage: The Big Ben resurgence over the last 2 weeks has come at home against bad pass defenses. Now they go on the road against a decent D.
Cincy almost snuck into my blazing 5. I was scared to pull the trigger because you never know which Steelers team is showing up. They're in a strange situation because everything rests on that week 15 game against New England - even if they drop one of the next 2 games they'd still take the 1 seed if they beat the Pats. I wonder if the players know that this game doesn't really matter, that they can play sloppy and still probably win. That's how it seemed last week against Green Bay. When they played the Titans, who at the time were only a game back in the playoff standings, the Steelers played with urgency and dominated. We may not see that type of effort again until they really need it.
Katz: I think we're getting "bad" Ben tonight. Back to back four touchdown games. Ben does this every year. He spikes his final numbers with two monster games and then is mediocre the rest of the way. The Steelers are hot right now and this strikes me as the perfect cool off spot.
Skolman: I took Pit in our weekly picks because of the series domination, but the games at Cin have been very close. I’ll flip to the Cincy side because of that and because the universe owes us some more home dog covers.
