Katz: After a faceplant in the home opener, the Patriots are installed as touchdown favorites at the Superdome. What narrative are we buying here?
Skolman: A lot of people might have missed this because they were on to the Chargers Broncos game but I was basking in the MNF victory long enough to see Bradfords post-game interview...I think he told us a lot. We all saw it during the game but he came out and said how easy he had it because nobody got close to him all night. How you feel about this game depends on how you feel about Brady vs no pass rush...coming off of a loss. I think the Saints will try to run play keep away by running the ball but after Cooks' 3rd TD that's out the window. There should be a college football total on this game.
RC: I have a feeling that Vikings game was more the Saints awfulness giving Bradford an open door. We’ll know for sure (kinda) on the Vikes when they take on the Steelers this week. But as far as the Saints go, if they are that bad…then I can only imagine what Brady + Cooks is going to do to them. Hopefully, Sean Payton will run AP some more…taking handoffs from a Hall of Fame, elite passer QB not throwing the ball…or throwing to his #1 WR, Michael Thomas…who is also the 5th best WR on the Giants currently, but #1 for the Saints.
You did the math right. It’s Travis Rudolph you missed…
Rabbitt: I blacked out for a bit when I saw the records and forgot to respond to the actual game in the thread. I get a pissed off Tom+Bill vs a defense that looked the exact same as last year I'll pay the points all day quite happily. Does anyone remember the vikings pass game from last year? Did it just magically fix itself or are we once again looking at a historically bad defense? I am probably putting real money on this one, unless the saints suddenly trade for Tyreek Hill.
Savage: Weird that this line has been bet down to 6 in some spots. I can't imagine that's public money. Is there any chance we're overlooking the fact that the Patriots D isn't going to magically fix itself in 10 days? The Saints could probably score some points if they don't waste every redzone trip trying to get AP a revenge TD.
Skolman: I think it's all about Hightower, hasn't practiced yet this week. QB of the defense...I wouldn't feel comfy laying a TD without him.
Rabbitt: Visions of Sam Bradford carving up this defense dance through my head every time I consider a NO bet.
Skolman: In the actual game those visions were interrupted by the Vikings defense shutting down the Saints in the red zone. If the pats can't play defense then the bet is vulnerable.
