Handicapping Chat Wk4 (SNF): IND at SEA (-13.0)

October 1, 2017 4:45 PM
October 1, 2017 4:40 PM

*This is the transcript of our Handicapping group wager chat for this particular game. Taking it as it is, so forgive any typos, etc. It's just casual opinions shared. Also, we may veer way off topic but that's half the fun of it.

YTD Records ATS (thru Week 3):

FFM Computer: 30-17, 12-3 Blazing Five

Savage: 29-18; Blazing 5: 7-8; Best Bet: 2-1

Skolman: 26-21; Blazing 5: 10-5; Best Bet: 1-2

Katz: 26-21; Blazing 5: 7-8; Best Bet: 1-2

Rabbitt: 24-23; Blazing 5: 9-6; Best Bet: 1-2

RC: 24-23; Blazing 5: 9-6; Best Bet: 1-2

Colin Cowherd B5: 11-4

Katz: We know the Colts aren't good, but can Seattle really justify laying two touchdowns to anyone?

RC: Seattle should be 0-3, they were fighting for their lives at home vs. SF. On the road they’ve been manhandled. The Colts should be 2-1…2-0 under Brissett. The Colts are hanging with bad teams/getting out to fast starts on them – and if you see Seattle as a bad team, as I do…then the Colts should hang here. Maybe even win. I don’t think they will and if I had to bet my life I’d probably take SEA for an angry moment to fake themselves out into thinking everything is fine with a big win. IND, but the no money on the line objective person says take the points.

Katz: I went with Seattle here and I don't feel great about it. I actually don't think Seattle blows out Indy. The way they cover is more of an Indy hangs around and Seattle gets a late TD to push them over the top type game. I want to think Seattle will continue to throw because it's clearly the best way to score points, but knowing Pete Carroll and Darrell Bevell, they'll go right back to running the ball nowhere. I really hate Seattle and I hate this pick, but the Colts just don't have any talent on their team outside of TY Hilton without Luck.

Skolman:   No Baldwin sent the line to 12.5...I'd still take Sea with the -13 for our picks because I'm not sure the Colt will score.  No trying to be too dramatic but Sea is a Top 3 home field advantage and the Colts don't have a great o-line.  If the Colts played offense the entire time they might lose by 13.

Rabbitt: Everything I read pointed to baldwin playing

Katz: But how effective will Baldwin be?

Skolman:   My bad, I misread that update.  Even better for the Seahawks.  I can see an argument for taking the points after the Sea/SF game, my thought there is that was a division game and maybe Sea found something offensively last week?  Now that I think about it...the second dumbest thing I heard said his week is that Jacoby Brissett should handle the environment in Seattle tonight ok because he studied under Tom Brady...now that I think about it...THAT should have probably beaten Watson's "cannon" of an arm for thing I most disagree with (the kinder way of saying dumbest thing I've heard all week).
